The Guild

We have a strong, supportive and dedicated Guild of around 50 members who meet twice a month, on Thursdays from September to March, plus our annual Spring Tea in April. Please come along to one or all of our meetings for fellowship, praise, and fun- you are assured of a most warm welcome from all.

Strategy: “One Journey, Many Roads”

Theme: “Companions on the way”

Auchterarder Parish Church Guild supports the National Guild in a three-year, themed cycle of work.

The projects we are supporting this Guild Session are:
The Free to Live Trust, Seema’s Project – which rescues the children of prostitutes who are abandoned in the streets of the red-light district of the city of Pune in India. They built a residential children’s centre in Bori a village outside Pune. With the support  of the Guild they will develop the project further by rescuing more children and some of the trafficked women.  We had a speaker from The Free to Live Trust at our first Guild meeting in September.  A very moving and informative talk.

Crossreach – Join up the Dots –  a programme to tackle the problems of loneliness and social isolation in Scotland. This presentation will be on Thursday 20th February at 2:30pm in the Church Centre.

In our 20/21 Session we will be supporting The World Mission Council project – Empowering Teenage Mother’s in Zambia, and The Sailor’s Society – A Chaplain for our Ports
