A look through Luke

The Background

Last year, as a congregation, we looked at the Gospel of Mark during Lent.  This year we are going to study another of the Gospels – Luke. A series of Bible Study Notes, beginning on 21 February, will be available to anyone who would like them. There will also be a series of group sessions on Zoom where we can ‘meet’ and discuss the readings together, if you would find that helpful.

The Study Sessions

Sessions 1-5 will be held on Wednesday evenings, beginning on Wednesday 24 February from 7.30-8.15 pm.   There will be a short time together in a large group then we will split into smaller, facilitator-led discussion groups.  Please register your intention to attend these Zoom sessions with Sandra Miller on: sandra.miller@live.co.uk by Sunday 21 February, so the online links can be shared.

Sessions 6-12 will be held during Holy Week – Monday 29 March through until Easter Sunday 04 April.   Beginning at 7:30 pm each evening, these will be 15-20 minutes long and will include some time for prayer, music, meditation and reflection.  The Easter Sunday session time will be advised later.

How Sessions 6-12 will be held – in person and/or by Zoom – will depend on the Scottish Government and Church of Scotland Guidelines at that time and up-to-date information will be given when available.

The Resources

The Bible Study Notes produced to go along with the Bible readings for each day will be  available both digitally on the website, and as paper copies.   If you would like a printed paper copy of these, please get in touch with Sandra Miller either by phone: 07760163295 or by email as above.   These will be available closer to the time.
